What makes Sutivan an irresistible place?
Sutivan is a small island municipality located on the northwestern coast of Croatia, just opposite Split. It is 13 kilometers away from Split and has uninterrupted connections since its inception. While the Roman Emperor Diocletian built a palace in Split, one of his dignitaries builds his own in Sutivan under today’s Kavanjin’s courtyard. Following these historical traces, one can talk about the 1700s anniversary of life in Sutivan – the name that was given by St. John the Baptist.
Today, Sutivan is a bit of a Mediterranean place with beautiful wooded beaches and a promenade stretching from Lučica to the Likve, Prbuje, Stinova, Stipanska, Male Tenja and Vičje harbors. In the bays mentioned there are beautiful beaches where every visitor can find peace and a beautiful natural environment of true Mediterranean atmosphere.
